Tinela

Privacy

Effective: October 6, 2026

Your pages

Each page you write in Tinela is a Markdown file in your iCloud Drive, or on your device if you don’t use iCloud. Tinela has no accounts. What you write doesn’t go through any server. iCloud is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

Data

Tinela doesn’t collect data or show ads. The trial and the purchase go through Apple. The app only knows if you started the trial or bought it.

If the app crashes and you allowed it in your device settings, Apple sends the developer a technical report. The report doesn’t include what you write.

Permissions

If a photo you attach has a location, it’s saved with it.

How are you

The word you choose is saved in that day’s file. Tinela doesn’t analyze it or send it anywhere.

Sharing

A page or passage you share leaves the app only for the place you choose. Tinela doesn’t keep a copy anywhere else.

The widget

To show the moment’s question and your intention, the app keeps a summary of Today on the device. The summary doesn’t go to iCloud, and only the app and its widget read it. With the lock on, it has only the questions.

Reminders

Reminders don’t show what you write. A notebook’s reminder shows its first question, or only its name if you use the lock.

Deleting

You can delete your files from the app or from Files (on the Mac, from Finder). If you delete the app, anything that’s only on the device goes with it. What’s in iCloud Drive stays there until you delete it.

Children

Tinela isn’t meant for children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with its date.
